  1. This 3 day training is designed to help new partner abuse intervention program staff gain the information and skills to conduct intake screenings, facilitate group, and design programs which meet the Illinois protocols for PAIP programs. The training will provide opportunities for practical application in the delivery of those services. The training format mirrors the PAIP group process and supports enhancement of skills, increased competency, problem solving and application of intervention strategies. Activities will include presentation, small group discussion, role-play exercises, and video presentations.

The Illinois protocol for partner abuse intervention programs requires facilitators to obtain 20 hours of training in abuser services. This workshop will meet this requirement. It is highly recommended that participants have obtained the 40 hours of IDVA (Illinois Domestic Violence Act) training prior to the attendance of this workshop.
